The trim i ve used and seen it happen on is the fine thatch roof trim.

This is happening on ps4 also with 1 20. Then all of a sudden this happens to my roof trim. The same thing is happening in daylight. It tells me not found.

You will need to add the trim to each roof piece separately. Think of your house as a sandwich and the roof and foundation are your buns. Sections of roof trim will just be black. Objects updates objects can be found in windows doors roof trim and exterior wall attachments.

4 people had this problem. These are standalone recolors. Keep the qualities of your main wall pattern in mind when choosing a roof pattern and make the foundation color match the roof. October 2014 in the sims 4 general discussion i see the colors but i can t change the color on the roof.

2 22 2020 here s a screenshot of my house having this issue on the current patch. Once selected just click anywhere on a section of roof to apply the trim. Here is another of my houses. Roof recolors by oldbox and chalipo all4sims.

To make it stop i have to recolor the roof trim to another color and then back to white again. Then i use the design tool and it say can not be used on this object. I have reset my sims 4 folder repaired my game reinstalled my game no mods altered graphic settings nothing gets rid of the problem. Adding a trim to the roof adds that finishing touch and can hide what may have been an unattractive area where roof meets wall.
